I usually eat whatever slop is available in my cafteria or nearby at the local subway's. Instead of being so lazy and getting gipped with ripoff prices, I'm just going to bring my lunch from home now. What's a good "lunchbox" that will keep my food cold and my coffee warm for several hours?

Pretty much everyone at work eats out, as there's not even a fridge on site. Recommendations?

I would get a good stainless steel bento-style box (stacked microwavable containers)

Yes - by all means, shop around for a good price. The Indian Tiffin boxes are cool too but heavier and all stainless so not great to microwave stuff

Yep, bento boxes are the way to go. The first time a Japanese coworker pulled out his bento box, loaded up with all kinds of various delicious things, while I was eating a ham and cheese sandwich, I felt really dumb.

aside from Zojirushi, which undoubtedly is a good brand, I've been using Tiger lunch jars in some way or another since I was a kid and I highly recommend them.

There's actually a cult following for the Mr. Bento in the pic. People take pics and share and discuss what they ate from the lunchbox.
