One leg lunges

I've found nothing better. You are in no danger of straining your back, and if you do go deep, it hits the glut like nothing else.

He's not going to the gym guys. It'll be hard to do too many deads and lunges with only one set of dmb's.

Try out bridges, supermans, and warriors. All yoga work that focuses on core/lowback/glutes.

Dont confuse regular lunges with what I posted. I had to stop doing walking lunges too because it was more for quads than gluts.

These one legged lunges though target gluts better than dead lifts. Also, 15 lbs will not cut it. A set of dumbbells with any accessories you need are very inexpensive. Try craigslist. Men give up exercising all the time once they get married or have kids.

Go farther/deeper with the lunges, and they work the glutes a lot harder. Go until your knee touches the ground on the trailing leg.

Also those bench lunges are pretty effective.

With the equipment you described- Jump lunges, Jump squats, and step ups are very effective. Oh yea sprints as well.

Yup. Lunges are as good as the depth you perform them.

Also to the original poster, I'm guessing anything you do with bodyweight is going to bore you to tears. I hope you have enough dedication/drive to stay motivated for bw lunges in your living room...

3:58 - 4:21 of this video looks like a great glute workout. I've never seen this machine, must be special to PL'ing gyms. Obviously useless to OP, but I suppose one could mimic the movement with dumbell wedged between feet and lower body hanging off propped up bench:

You could try doing high rep bodyweight squats wearing a backpack full of whatever you have lying around that seems heavy. Soup cans?
