I would just like to start by apologizing, this thread has probably been posted hundreds of times, and I hope you can forgive me.

I have always appreciated a classy looking dress shoe, the only problem I have when it comes to looking for a shoe is finding the right company to buy from and the right shoe.

I am getting these shoes to be more of an every day shoe to go with what I'm wearing (Business formal/casual). A color I have always loved with my clothes is a sort of tan.

If I am asking to much, please just give me a direction to start in, also the price can change if you believe it's worth it.

Once again I apologize for the thread and thank anyone who contributes, and of course those who have taken their time to read this thread!

I'd steer clear of buying anything "tan" but besides Loake that Murl posted you can also try Meermin. They can take a bit to break in but the styles are nice for the price.

I just purchased a couple pairs of Allen Edmonds. Although I didn't stray far from their most popular models.

I picked up a pair of Bourbon coloured Strands for $177 and a pair of Black Brooks Brother Park Avenues for $149!

I find the Strands can dress up or down quite well. If you like the Park Avenues, but want something a touch more casual, try the Fifth Avenue. As for "Tan" - you may like the Walnut colour. A simple google search will show Walnut Strands all over the place. They are very popular.

Normally they cost much more, but some great deal on "seconds" and overstocks can be had from their www.shoebank.com website.

    Hope this helps,
    -John
