1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The national directory of cell phone numbers is about to be published. Once this happens telemarketers will have access to your cell phone number. This will be even more annoying than the calls to your "regular" phone because in addition to being a disruption, these calls will also use your cellular minutes. If you wish to avoid this, register your cell number on the National Do Not Call list as soon as possible. You can do this by going on-line to: http://www.donotcall.gov or by calling 888-382-1222 from the phone you wish to register. Please get this to as many people as you can.

Thanks Slim. I've already been getting telemarketers calling my cell phone. Its a pain in the ass when you're in lecture and your phone goes off, even if it is on vibrate.

Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.
