Hey Gang --
So we're heavily into pre-production on season two of Put This On, our web series about menswear. This season, we're visiting three cities selected by our viewers - New York, London and Milan.
I think we've got really great ideas for New York and London, but we're just getting started on Milan. Gianluca Migliarrotti, the director of O'Mast, is producing our Milan episodes, so we've got some good help, but I thought I'd ask here, where there are many folks with much more experience with Milano than I have.
What do you think we should cover in our two Milan episodes?
I think we won't have much trouble finding stores to visit - it's a real shopping mecca. We're definitely planning to visit G. Lorenzi, and maybe 10 Corso Como, maybe another spot.
The thing I'm most interested in is *stories*. In London, for example, we're going to try and look at the history of Savile Row - from traditional to peacock revolution to Boateng/RJ to new traditional. In New York we're going to go on a thrifting trip.
What do you think is the character of Milan? What people and stories express that?
I'm also really interested in who you think are the best-dressed in Milan. Their dress doesn't have to be purely classical, more personal or eccentric is fine. We're going to do a few personal style profiles as well.
So, I throw it open to you... I really appreciate the help of those of you who have more experience than we do with this great city.
