Like every color (yes that includes yellow), it really depends on the shade. There's nothing wrong with a purple polo per se but some shades can be nice and flattering, while others will make you look like a clown

Purple can look good with blue, gray, brown, green, depending on the shade of color.

i think one of the poshest looking color/emblem combinations i've ever seen was a purple Polo Ralph Lauren polo with a multicolor horse (colored in, not solid). the purple was so rich and just oozed classy, and the guy was wearing them with white slim shorts and black crocodile drivers.

the glashutte watch he was wearing didn't hurt the look either.

i like purple polos, much better than pink.

I have a purple Loro Piana polo. At first, I really liked it. Later, I started feeling like the fedex dude...

Yes, but I'm not particularly fond of logo's.

I just ordered an American Apparel polo in eggplant. I have some t-shirts in eggplant that I wear regularly, but this will be my first polo.

all about the hue. any color whether purple, pink, blue, black, or white in a bright, shiny hue just looks off, period.
