Hello Everyone!

I have thus far been displeased with almost all of my polo shirts (Brooks Brothers, RL Polo, etc). A good friend recommended Ralph Lauren Purple Label polos. What are your opinions? How does the quality differ from standard Polo? Thanks so much!

I have one by RLPL and quite like it. It was made for the European market, I believe, and fits quite slim which I like. I normally wear PRL custom fit polos in a size medium, and the size small RLPL is slightly slimmer than the PRL custom fit ones. The RLPL also has nicer fabric and buttons as you would expect.

They fit like balloons.

I recently got one at a steep discount (off Gilt) and I agree they're balloons, I just figured I'd bring it to a tailor and get it altered. I've done that with another RL polo and I was really pleased with it afterward.

I have a few of them and do not particularly care for them. They shrink, wrinkle, and attract lint extremely easily. I actually prefer the Black label ones.

Are the purple label polo's more of a slim fit like the Custom Fit, or just regular? From the 2nd post it seems the Small Purple Label = Medium Custom Fit. i.e Go down 1 size from Custom Fit.

The white one I bought was transparent. I let it go away because I didn't want to show my nipples to the world. YMMV.
