Im entering the stage of my life where I enjoy the finer things fashion has to offer; put still enjoy the last vestiges of my punk life. I was wondering how I could incorporate punk with the high-end fashion. Of course I'm not talking about my business wardrobe, but rather my casual. I currently throw in some combat boot-esque boots, some D.I.Y repaired pants, and am looking for different armbands.

Also Im looking for these gloves http://www.getkempt.com/dept-of-corr...ngerprints.php

Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to further punk up my wardrobe, while still looking styling. Military detailing has always been a choice of mine as well. If anyone can help I'd
really appreciate it. thanks!

It all sounds very late Hedi Slimane for Dior Homme. Basically the look has permeated all mens youth clothing these days.

From the pics I see of London, that's a good argument but you don't see it that much in the states. I have a pair of sleek fashion forward combat boots and I purposely wore them in to give that distressed, punk feel and I love the juxtaposition of wearing them with with a shirt and tie. I say try different looks with them and see what fits what you're trying to pull off

Seems like suits cut with sharp lines, lack of ornateness, lots of black, cold polished metals. It's not bringing the punk style - it's bringing the punk attitude.

Military detailing has always been an option on many dressy garments (after all, many of them come from a military history/background). One example are overcoats and pea coats with buttoned "straps" (not sure what they are called) on the shoulders and arms. I also think you can use "punk" boots (i.e combat boots) in the same way that people wear cowboy boots with suits. It's subtle, but it gives a distinct look (or, in case of the cowboy boots if you're in Texas, average look). I'm not sure if there's such a thing as "punk belts", but if you're into studded belts, etc., that could also add some detail (with jeans, not with a suit!). Another option, as you have mentioned are wristbands (or even neck chains/bands, if that's your thing). Look for the details in the clothes, and I am sure you will be able to find some. Be aware that the more "decoration" a garment has, the less dressy it is considered to be.

It's interesting to see how people bring small details and styles from their origins or what they like to do into dressier clothing styles (i.e. someone who likes motorcycles might wear a motorcycle jacket over his suit or business casual outfit).

I like "punking" or "rocking" dressy styles, but I think it should be in a subtle way with some thought. Especially you should not wear to many "indicators" at once (i.e. don't wear combat boots, "punked" jeans, studded belt, wristband and neck chain at the sime time).

On a side note, does anyone thing it would be possible to pull of cargo pants/battle dress pants with a shirt and sportscoat? Some of the cargo pants basically look like chinos with extra pockets, so I'm thinking it might work.

I would go with a pyramid studded belt or cuff if it wasn't mall junk. For instance, I have a studded belt that came out of a "fetish" shop in Australia and it is light years ahead of Hot Topic junk (I shouldn't even know that lol).

Nordicstyle made a great point...don't over do it. Dress up and wear a Schott Perfecto, or add one or two punk elements to your normal casual. Too much and you'll like Sid Vicious *grins*.

Diet Butcher is great, check out these sneakers. They are too pricy for me, but will fit excellent on skinny or tight jeans.

Love them myself, but I rather prefer baggy jeans with a loose fit, that may change in the future. I bought recentlysome Nom de Guerre jeans.

Hope I helped you out!

Please save your battle dress uniform pants for a battlefield and not wear it with a sportcoat. Just my opinion.
