You guys are all wet. Putting a laptop in everyone's hands, all over the world, will help bring them down to the level of a suburban American teenager. You want that for your childrens' sakes, surely.
Besides, it means a lot more people will have access to SF and Ebay, and thus will be able to buy your castoffs. Our motto; "eliminate the middlemen."

What a ******* stupid idea, once of those putting the cart in front of the horse thing.

It's just the typical American idea of charity, trying to give without doing anything meaningful. I'm not saying don't be charitable, but just that these third world problems of hunger, disease...etc can only be solved by dealing with the basics.

I see hungry, thirsty, not-immunized kids running around bear feet, but with a friggin laptop. seriously, WTF

Without the laptop how are the kids going to maintain a database of all the diseases their family has or a spreadsheet of all the food that they can't afford to eat?
