did anyone happen to see what outerwear discounts are now or if the selection is any good?

the selection on outerwear was terrible yesterday, and I don't think they are rolling out any additional inventory today/tomorrow.

    . . .

That is a great fabric, although I'm not in love with the peak lapels + flat-front trousers configuration of that suit (which, I think, is what made it sell so poorly at full retail).

Have they upped the discount on suits at all today?

Suits are 80% off, sport coats 90% off and trousers are any 3 pairs for $135. Ties are 5 for $100.

Having so much clothing just makes no sense to me. I'll assume I'm in the minority here.

    Don't necesarily disagree, but that's a whole different thread.[IMG]

I'm with you scruff, but to each his own. I like my closet to be minimalist and clean with only essentials.

norcaltransplant, pm'ed you on the proxy offer. reach out to me if you can...thanks!!

I'm with you. The argument is that if you have the funds, the will and a closet large enough to hold it all, continue shopping. As far as I understand, Mr. Portnoy sells a good bit of this stuff unworn every once in a while, and at great prices, so we all benefit in the end.

I'm really just trying to shame you into giving me some free ties and pocket squares.

I also thought I saw some items that were not there previously when I went at lunch time. There was a lovely Phineas navy checkered suit which I definitely did not see yesterday. Picked it up in a 38L. There was another one in 38R. Also saw a 2button navy pinstripe that wasn't there yesterday in a 39R...maybe this stuff was sitting in a dressing room waiting to be restocked, or customers had "reserved" them up at front and never checked it out.

I'm going back tomorrow to get a closer look at the sportcoats and pants, if there's anything worth scalping.
