Just took advantage of the Friends & Family sale at Brooks Brothers. They have a new sub-line of their luxury shirts called that are "Luxury Slim Fit." I would say these are a good 2" slimmer down the body and sleeves and with quite high armholes.

The one I got was truly magnificent and came in a nice lavendar glen plaid with white overcheck. The fabric felt very nice and the construction appeared quite good, being made in the USA.

I saw these at the store and was meaning to give one a try. Are they a similar fit to the "slim fit"? I love the fabric on the luxury shirts but they're just too blousy.

I measured the 15.5x33 that I just received. It's pretty slim -- just under 44" in the chest and about 41" at the waist.

A 15.5 neck corresponds with a 40" chest and 33-34" waist, so the shirt has 7" extra where it tucks into your pants?? Doesn't seem very slim.

I believe this is correct. From my experience, the luxury slim fit shirts are not as slim as their regular slim fit line. I'm a bigger guy, so the regular slim fit work pretty well for me. The luxury line, however, tends to fit a little larger and requires some alteration.

I just measured one of my BB slim-fit OCBDs. The measurements were within 1/2" of those for the luxury slim fit shirt.

Well, I have some regular BB slim fits and these luxury slim fits are indeed slimmer than the regular slim fit.

According to the Brooks Brothers website, the Luxury Regular Fit is 4" slimmer in the chest and 2 3/4" slimmer in the waist than the Traditional Fit. The Luxury Slim Fit is 2" slimmer in the chest and 3" slimmer in the waist than the Luxury Regular Fit. Thus, the Luxury Slim Fit is 6" slimmer in the chest and 5 3/4" slimmer in the waist than the Traditional Fit. The Slim Fit, on the other hand, is 5" slimmer in the chest and 5 3/4" slimmer in the waist than the Traditional Fit. Thus, according to the website, the Luxury Slim Fit is all of 1" slimmer in the chest.

Dollars to donuts, however, that the Luxury Slim Fit, at least the one I have, is 2-3" slimmer in the waist too, and maybe even 2" slimmer in the chest than the regular Slim Fit.
