I am 9C (although I wear 9B in AE because they make only every other width size); would you recommend sizing down to 8.5?

i would size down 0.5

i'm a 10 in AE and i bought 10M (i think this corresponds to 10E) Marteganis....they're a touch big.

Thanks for posting this PSA. At $250, these shoes are a great deal. For what it's worth on fit, most Martegani's seem to run true to size, although maybe on the larger size. I typically fit into 10.5s in most true to size shoes, and my Marteganis on the 7Y last seem to fit me a touch lose (hence they are for sale on the B+S).

Anyone know which last these are on?

A pair of 8's just arrived today. All I have to say is wow.

Anyone have a recommendation for a good boot tree to fit these and perhaps a proper color for cream polish? AE 'walnut' looks pretty close, though a little less red.
