Bear in mind they(boots) fit very roomy around the instep.

Any idea what last these chelseas are on? From what I hear most lasts are true to size except for the 3B where most size down 1/2 a size. If I typically wear a US 11, I wonder if the 10.5 would fit.

TC- I believe I saw a couple pairs recently at my shop in St. Paul. I may be confusing them with the Lucca's. I'm walkig by there this afternoon. Let me look and see if they have them.

That's what held me back. I've got a low instep and need a snug fit, esp in slip-ons and Chelseas.
Too bad, because these look really nice and something I'd wear a lot.

speaking of which - I meant to suggest you look at the Vass u-last as well. They seem to run pretty snug in the vamp judging from the few I have.

I have the same problem -- can't wear most loafers -- but these fit me fine. That said, I may a bit more tolerant of a little slip than some guys.

In case you hadn't seen it - Franco's has a few more RM's on clearance. The Chelsea boots are probably the best deal @ $249 sizes 8-12.

I bought similar Chelseas from RL (their Alford boots) and LOVE them. They are a little lighter brown though.
