Passed by the Daffy's on 57th near Broadway last night - they had a whole rack of Mabitex linen/cotto/wool slacks on final sale for $24.99. It looks like some are already making their way onto SF (at 3 or 4 times the final sale price).

If you can make it to the store, fyi - final sale items are not returnable so you'll need to try these on. This location always has less than the other Daffy's, so pickings might be better at other locations.

Happy Hunting!

I wish I were in NYC. I've consistently been paying $100 a pop for wools.

hah. these pants were 59.99 + tax last fall.

nice to see the discount and psa on SF.

However, if you think this is a good "hunting ground" for "SF vultures" - you're making a huge mistake. All you are doing is limiting access to mabitex pants to those outside of NYC who'd want to buy them on B&S.

I don't mind paying the SF markup for these. Even marked up they're still a great deal compared to anything I can find in Toronto!

I'm in the same boat. The GTA is terrible for quality wools at a reasonable price. Even during the HR boxing week sale, their wool trousers were about $179.99.

Usually the markdowns are a poor selection or really large sizes. I remember I was able to get Incotex Chinos for 13.99. They don't sell them anymore

That's like 95% off retail!

I'm reading this to mean that you think PSAs telling someone in a particular city to check out a sale at a particular store are actually detrimental to SF members outside of that city because there will be less items available for lurkers/resellers to overcharge our out of state brethren on. According to this logic, PSAs actually hurt more members - resellers and out of towners for that given sale - than it helps - members in that town who might actually want to take advantage of a sale in their city at the price offered by that store - and not at the SF sale price X 4 mark-up.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong - but I think you're missing the point of what a PSA is supposed to be.

That being said, I really doubt this PSA is going to stop SF from being flooded with Mabitex slacks at various price points.

From all appearances, we have already reached that point. PSA's for the win!
