Thanks. A fairly standard measurement for SF is the length from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the jacket in the back. Can you provide that measurement for your 42r?
Bought in my size, making for a total collection of six of these. I find they are fantastic for casual wear - like wearing a sweater! When I see these for a good price, I usually get them.
They are not Boglioli in quality (normal since the retail price is double for Boglioli). You can find them easily in Italy for 250-350 Euros. Here in Switzerland they are terribly expensive, I paid about 350USD (on sale this winter) for one in washed wool.
During my last trip to Milano in February, I went to Il Salgagente outlet, there were plenty of LBM from last season for about 150-200 euros (mostly in cotton). I preffered to buy 2 Boglioli and a Corneliani, slightly more expensive.
The LBM are really short and slim, fine if you have a fit body.
Don't forget to eBates!
Luigi Bianchi Mantova also claim that they can deliver si misura in 10 days (excluding delivery time).
For me, there seemed to be an awful lot of Polyester used in the fabric for their "luigi Bianchi Mantova" line.
Fatwallet has a higher cash back rate, if you're into that kind of thing.
What! Too late.
I bought one of the LBMs with 55% polyester - there is a rather substantial chance it will be going back.
I got the jacket. Not moleskin, but it's a great woven cotton fabric with a soft hand. Unfortunately, it's too short for me. Length is 28.25
Selling it at cost here on the B&S. 3 days only, due to the Yoox return policy:
L.B.M, just like Tonello and Piombo is more for the hip crowd. If there is one of interest, I would strongly suggest sizing up one for a better fit.
LOL WTF, I found a whole bunch of weird metallic flakes of metal in one of my jacket pockets. (nickel for comparison)
WTF. I want to know where the heck this came from. It's so damn weird. haha.
It kind of looks like the silver gum wrappers that were completely flattened.
I'm a decent proponent of the L.B.M. 1911 soft jacket, I like the fit—I think if offers most forms a great silhouette.
I'm actually unloading 2 of mine since I can no longer fit into them (I've been slimming down)
Here's the eBay auctions.
I have received my Navy Flannel LBM 1911 suit today. Luckily yoox had one US34(IT44)for $299.I had to buy this off yoox us site then used myus to get it to Australia. Paid $60 shipping. Total damage $360. The fabric is great and soft constriction and good fit. The jacket is not as slim as I expected. But not to far off either. The jacket is a tad on the shorter side(I am 5’10”).
