I've found the LBM 1911 unstructured jackets are fantastic for casual /semi-dress wear. They're hard to find in general, and typically > $800 (which is a great price considering the garments).

Yoox has a fair amount of the S/S line of jackets for sale (36-44) for under $200, or in some cases under $300.

I bought one of each color in my size of every one they had. That's how much I like them.

Style and pricewise they are quite Boglioli-like. How do the two compare from a quality perspective? I think that Boglioli's mainline, coat and k series are of middling quality at best, but quite stylish in a Pitti Uomo sort of way.

Thanks SF (a new me)

great deal...I just wish the the sleeve buttons are non-functional, knowing it will be too long for me..

What's the length on these like? I got a few Bogliolis at the YE sale and they were all a bit too Thom Brownish in length, so back the went. Are the LBMs the same?

Here are measurements to my two button jacket size 52 (42R[us])

P2P = 22" (laying as flat as naturally can) 20" seam to seam.
S2S = 18.5" (front)
Length = ~28.75" (front, about center of shoulder to bottom)
Sleeve = ~25" (the seam measures 18" from armpit)

Hope this helps.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
