1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I have to say Ron is very good with the sizing (i.e., he noted EU sizing for the MG shoes). Recently people are talking about shoes being too big, yes, from my experience with the PS Italian shoes, they are 'looser' than the subjective standard size. Conversely, my experience with the PS GMP shoes is that they are too narrow.

Much of the shoes left on the site are from Italian houses that do not have well-known sizes so it is trial and error. Is it worth it? It would be up to the buyer to decide. I purchased numerous GMP shoes because I know my size and found them as a steal. I had trial and error with the French and Italian shoes. Even with the return shipping, getting $400-$800 shoes for <$100 is for me, a definitely bargain.

Whenever I see this thread under my subscriptions, I jump straight to the rider boot shop website and THEN I check what the new post in the thread actually says.

    From Ron's subscription email:

"While we have not run into any crazy off-price deals lately, we have been busy adding the full range of our Saphir (we serve as the distributors for Saphir, Saphir Medaille D'Or and Tarrago products in the US) shoe care products to the website. To kick it off we would like to offer a promotional item with all purchases thru April 15th.

Saphir's all purpose 'Creme Universal' is a fantastic cleaner and conditioner, and to show it's benefits we are offering a free 150ml. bottle to all customers who order $30 of other Saphir products starting now thru the expiration date. Simply add this product to your cart (http://www.riderbootshop.com/saphir-creme-universal-150ml/ ), continue shopping to meet the minimum order amount, and use the coupon code CU1 at checkout. The $12 will be deducted making this item, well, free..."

    Ron is a gentleman.

The off-price crazy deals will likely return in the future... Ron, Brooks Brothers (although they clear themselves), and John Lobb on Madison must have some excess stock lying around. Tom Ford on Madison also dumps last season to Century 21, perhaps you can get their shoes, since they hate dumping to C21. Too bad you couldn't clear out Santoni on Madison when that closed.

Furthermore, Dominico Vacca just had a clearance sale, perhaps you could clear the remains of that, and DeCorato also clears stock too, perhaps another good option.
