Yes they're on the 888. I am guessing that our days of $500 EG's from GVH are a memory. It seems like every time they get a batch the price is a bit higher and we absolutely clean them out within a day, so I understand what they're doing - even if I with they'd stop.

On another note, I received an e-mail from Ralph Lauren (the company, not the guy personally I'm assuming) yesterday with the 40% + 15% coupon attached. There's a thread in Men's Clothing about the RL sale where I attached it if anyone wants it, and at this point there are varying answers as to whether the PL shoes are included or not. At $1250 for most of the now you'd be looking at $637.50 + tax for the Grants, but the do have them in Dark Oak.

I maybe one of the few people complaining about EG,but my recent acquisitions disappoint me. I got the asquith on 202 last, even though it fits me ok,after a day of wear my toes were hurting to the point I was not even able to walk,I took of my shoes and they were about to bleed.
Same goes for Chelsea on 202 last, the shoes are nice but a little blobby, I need to insert a thin insole or something in order to get a good fit.
My other cheaper shoes are much much better in terms of comfort,so go figure.

Maybe the 202 last is the problem. Have you tried other lasts?

I want to try 82 and see how it works, the problem is that when you try a pair,it fits just fine but you really see how comfortable they are after a day of wear.

It is not wider, and the sizing is US.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
