Okay all, here is my question regarding fit of the G&G compared to EG. I have a tough time finding shoes that fit well and while I was in London a couple of weeks ago, I went to EG to take a look at their sale shoes and try different pairs on to get an idea on fit.

The first two pairs I bought during their Dec/Jan sale were UK10 on the 202 last. These have a little more room than I need and so are just slightly big. When I went into their store I tried on a pair of UK9.5 on the 202 last and they fit a lot better, so I know I can order that size without much worry.

When I decided to try on the 82 last (I believe), the UK9.5 was too small. I did try on the same last in a UK10 and the fit was pretty good, although still a bit long but not much.

SOOOOOO. Here's the question: I want to order a pair of the G&G from their summer sale but I need some advise on size and last that might be comparable. In reading other posts in this thread, it seems that they run a half size larger (when compared to the EG 888 last), but would that really translate over to the other lasts?

Any help would be appreciated!

^^Have you tried e-mailing your fit questions to G&G directly as well? I'm sure they would be as helpful as anyone here.

So most of the forum members buy their C&J shoes from PLal assuming they are getting inferior shoes and not just a better deal on the same shoe they could buy elsewhere for more?

Gentlemen,

We are selling some shoes with old specifications, odd pairs, and samples
on ebay.co.uk (NOT US Site). They are not rejects. Most of them have the
starting price at GBP150. We are trying to put the "Buy it Now" feature at
GBP200, but for some strange reason we have not been able to do so.
We will see if we can turn on this feature as soon as possible.

I will take your suede/leather Astaire 9E if you are planning to do Buy It Now at 200 GBP.

Honestly though, they are headed to higher prices right now.

Gentlemen,

We just wanted to apologise that we cannot seem to add the Buy it Now feature at this time.
It looks like we need to have a track record before they let us use this feature.

Sorry for the confusion.
