Exerpt from the Seattle Times:

On Saturday, July 23, Filson is opening up its warehouse to the public for a Seconds Sale. This is an opportunity to save up to 70 percent on factory seconds, returned inventory and closeouts, including outerwear, luggage, footwear and much, much more.

The sale lasts from 8 a.m. to noon at the Filson warehouse at 3851 First Avenue S. (just south of Spokane Street behind Compton Lumber) and will more than likely be a madhouse, so get there early for the best selection.

I attended once in 2009, and bought some filson belts for $8 each. Those of you who like wellworn beat to heck Filson bags might find something. Get there early. It can be a mad house.

I'll be getting there w/ some friends at 6 probably. Whenever the Filson people arrive, they hand out numbers, then you can sit in your car until they open, they let in groups of people by number starting at 8.

Been the last 2years, a lot of fun. Belts are a score, I have more than I need. Good selection of boots. Luggage goes fast, and there isn't much that isn't beyond repair. Last year they had an enormous table stacked high with perfectly broken in waxed jackets for 70% off retail, among a bunch of other goodies.

So I was able to get into the Friends & Family sale today. Needless to say it was a lot better than fighting the crowds early on Saturday. Here's my score:

And for those who haven't been, a peak inside. Here's a huge ass table stacked high with mostly waxed cotton coats, some new, some perfectly broken in:

Summary:

Northern Quilted Jacket
Zippered Tote Bag
Travel Bag Medium
Original Briefcase
Cover Cloth Insulated Packer Hat
Oil Finish Shelter Cloth Eastlake Waxed Vest
Fishing Waist Pack (**** yeah fanny pack)

$1162.50 @ Retail
$220 @ Sale
