Sorry, I meant did it say where the chanterelles were harvested? Like truffles and morels and other mushrooms, that can have a large effect on quality.

IIRC pacific northwest, but not sure since I've already thrown out the package. I may go buy another pound.

In the Chicago area they usually sourced from Quebec. Unfortunately they haven't gotten them in yet.

Chicago Costcos now have Chanterelles in stock. $9/lb. Had them sauteed with shallots over hanger steak tonight, made an omelet with them yesterday. Probably will make risotto with them next week.

I bought some a couple of weeks ago but i over cooked them and the texture was like mush.
