where exactly would one find this "suit hierarchy" thread? lol
Let me Google that for you...
I kid, I kid.
Maybe the brakes are defective?
Probably the same way they normally do product safety recalls, announcements in the press, on TV, radio and the internet.
Migrant Chinese probably.
Caruso. High quality stuff, especially for the price. during those $2/2400 deals +25% off during preferred customer comes out to $900 a piece for a fully canvassed, suit with great fabric. and most alterations thrown in.
BB owns the southwick factory, so it's only natural to want to do everything out of it.
Although at the same time, Martin Greenfield is super old. He naturally wants to pass off his company to his sons, who unfortunately did not apprentice under their dad, and went off and studied science or dentistry or something like that. So we'll see how that works out...
As a Southwick dealer, I personally know they have been putting out some great, consistent garments here lately (and upgraded the trouser make substantially) and the Haverhill factory is capable of producing almost any type of make. When they do make a mistake, it is corrected almost immediately and with no hassle.
On another note, it has more handwork in one shoulder that the new Hickey-Freeman's have in the entire garment.
Any follow-up on this?
Good to know, thank you
I found a NWT southwick while thrifting recently, I was impressed with the quality.
My salesman said he understands that Southwick will be making Golden Fleece (they already make the Black Fleece). They are expanding the Haverhill factory as we speak for more production.
Agreed. My Southwick suits are much nicer than the Carusos,
I just talked to BB about this and they explained that this was the new GF fall line that was coming out. The recall started Oct 18th and only a few stores had some of these new suits available. I was concerned as I bought a GF tux back in the beginning of Oct and a GF suit back in April. They told me if I have any concerns I can take it back to them and they can check it out and replace it if need. I will contact me SA on Monday and see if he has any further info.
Wait, what? What line of Caruso?
I have two GF suits, one made in Italy and one in the US. Both were purchased in 2010 or maybe early 2011. I have not yet experienced any unintended acceleration.
Do you know who made the one made in italy?
Separate names with a comma.
