Dear Folks: Many fine items this week, spanning over a century of men’s tailoring. From the 19th century, we have a frock coat in excellent condition. From the 21st century, we have a custom suit made for NY Knicks player Stephon Marbury, which seems to combine a frock coat and zoot suit pants. For the more trad minded, check out great coats from J. Press, Paul Stuart, and even Dolce & Gabbana, which turns out a silver coat that resembles Polo Blue Label only with lighter construction. Also note many blue blazers, ranging from RTW models by Paul Stuart and Polo to custom jobs by Mr. Ned and Phil Ferrante, the secret custom tailor of Saks Fifth Avenue. There are many good shirts from Pink and Zegna, as well as Paul Stuart and others. Also note the big tie sale, including not only narrow deadstock items perfect for street wear outfit but also many conservative silks from Brooks Brothers and others, all with extremely low starting bids – many under five dollars!
