Proper t-shirt length

I'm a pretty short guy and my t-shirts are always too long. Where on the body should the bottom hem of a t-shirt ideally lie?

Hopefully at least to the top of your belt, and not below your rear end (if you plan to leave them untucked). I prefer just over the top of my belt to above the bottom of my back pockets.

The good news is that hemming a t-shirt should be very easy and cheap if you can find an alterations place that can deal with jersey fabric.
