Hey everyone. I have eleven PC shirts. The most recent three (ordered over the course of a year, not all at once) all have the same defect: after a few washes, the lining in the collar got detached or displaced or something, causing a messy wrinkle that can’t be ironed out. These are all made in Vietnam, although I had one shirt made in Vietnam prior to these three that didn’t have the same issue. None of my other shirts have had this issue, and they’ve all been washed and ironed in the same way.

I might ask customer service about this, but I was curious if anyone else encountered the same?

For soft collars, the lining is not attached to the outer or inner fabric - but this should be able to be ironed out - just need to get the collar fully wet again and iron back towards the center of the collar.

Thanks for the reply. I tried ironing like this and it helps, although I can’t seem to fully get rid of the internal wrinkle in the lining. It’s almost as if there is too much lining for the collar to accomodate. Again, I didn’t have it on any of my earlier shirts, so something must have changed?

I've had that happen on multiple shirts (PC and otherwise). Is the wrinkle only visible under the collar? I found that on shirts with this issue, if I iron the collar on the underside (and not the outward-facing side), nothing is visible on the outside.

It’s visible on both sides. Will try different ironing techniques but I’m still stumped/annoyed by this not happening on 8 shirts and then happening on 3 others.

I have those wrinkles not only on my PC shirts but in other shirts with unlined collars. To be honest, I like how they look, that's the idea of having an unfused, unlined collar, should look more casual, IMO. But, I do iron them and while I can't vanish the wrinkle, I leave it at the center of the collar so it's kinda unoticeable there.

Are these soft collars? Maybe skip ironing the collar. After all, it is a casual style. I don’t iron any shirts with soft details.

Make sure to also stretch the collar with your hand and pull it taught while you're pressing it from outside edge to the inside/center of the collar to remove this. It normally comes out with a good hand press after some sprays of water from a squeeze bottle and a good iron.

I’m glad PC offers sea island cotton options now. However, it’d be nice to see some restocks or more options. It’s kinda disappointing that the popular options went out of stock and/or discontinued. Any chance of new options or restocks?

Could it be a different fabric than your earlier shirts?

The three shirts are in question are a chambray, a linen/cotton oxford and a cotton oxford. All the ones previous were cotton (pinpoint) oxfords. So not really a clear pattern there.
