I'm low on my supply. I need to re-up. I don't mind shelling out the cash for a three-month supply but would like to take advantage of a cheaper alternative.

I hear all the rave about cheapers drugs from Canada. I am also aware of cutting Proscar into fifths but is that okay to do.

You can cut Proscar into 5ths. The distribution of finasteride in both Propecia and Proscar is even. Propecia gave me some major fat buildup, bloating, and brain fog. Bad stuff and didn't do **** for my hair. See my threads about natural supplements that regrew my hair.

I still have my Propecia and Proscar, a few months supply that I will sell you for cheap.

I have 28 Proscar pills. 23 Propecia pills. I'll sell you all of them for $20 and that includes shipping. They are still in the sealed packaging.

I'll just repost. I take a crapload of stuff but here are the BIG 4 I'd try before anything else. This was my baseline regimen before tinkering with additions.

Potent fish oil 3x a day (3g total). I get NatureMade from Costco.

1g Blackcurrant Oil (1 of these):
http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-Black-Currant-Oil

(~400mg) Grape See Extract (1 of these 2x a day):
http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-ActiVin-Grape-Seed-Extract

Good Multi-vitamin (2x a day):
http://www.vitacost.com/Twinlab-Dual...la-200-Tablets

Take them with food.
I didn't start the threads. Also this probably won't work too well for areas that have been slick bald for longer than a few months. My hair is still pretty good but it was on the way out. It regenerated the ailing (miniaturizing) follicles.

I agree with the natural herbal stuff.

I tried rogane, and some some other stuff with no results.

I then was talking to the chicks who cut my hair about how all the girls who work there have such thick full hair and she said they all take a vitiman called Biotin. About 4 months ago I started taking herbal multi and also a suplement called Hair Nutrients which contains a large amount of Biotin. I noticed my hair becomming a bit more dense. Its not like I have a thick head of hair but it did thicken it up some, to the point when I saw my mother at thanksgiving she commented that it looks like I have more hair. As a side benifit I feel a lot better, have more enegry and dont fell slugish during the day.

Give it a try it cant hurt at all because what your body does not absorb just gets passed out of your body.

For what it's worth, apparently India and some European countries sell Propecia under a different name and at much lower prices than in the states. I talked to my doctor about it and he vaguely heard something about this practice. I don't think India and some countries are bound by the same patent laws? Not really sure about any of this and I don't know if I would trust it but it might be worth a try. Plus, you can order your Viagra at the same time!

I'd be curious to know if it works if anyone orders from this place... Link to website...

Biotin is part of the B-complex, I have not tried straight supplementation but a good multi-vitamin will contain it. Back in the 70s this was thought to be a cure. It does help some people. There are many causes for hairloss. I found mine was linked to an improper balance of essential ***** acids. I would advise against taking straight up Biotin without taking (I think) vitamin C.

The multi-vitamin I recommend contains 150mcg, some would recommend taking 500mcg of Biotin. Go with the fish oil if you want your hair shiny like a horse's mane too!

Finpecia, I think is the only one worth taking. I quit following all the generic overseas companies. Be VARY weary of other ones though. Finasteride just got approved for generic manufacturing in the US though as the patent is about to run out, if it hasn't already. Meanwhile, I'd stick to the Merck stuff.

Proscar is off patent and is now available as a generic. Maybe that is what you are refering to. I buy the generic stuff and cut it into fourths as it is just easier that way. A years supply is about $200 or some times less.

I would not worry about taking exactly the same amount each day as the active ingedient stays in your system for about three days, so you are getting an average of what your took in over any three day period. If you can't cut up the pills exactly it won't make any difference.

I tried some herbal remedies and different hair loss shampoos but they didn't do anything for me.

There are a couple products on the market which say they fight DHT naturally or with natural ingredients(avacor?). What they say makes sense as far as combating DHT, but I don't think any of them have been approved or tested by the FDA. Propecia (and derivitives) have been proven but it sounds like they do the same thing.
