Prom Theme 2010

So the prom committee chose Dr. Seuss as this years prom theme, which is cool but I don't really know what I should wear. Any suggestions?

Does this happen every year? Do people just wear costumes or do some wear tuxes? Or are you supposed to wear a tux and still find a way to fit the theme (which would be hopelessly stupid)?? I'd just look at photos of past years for guidance, or ask your friends what they are going to wear. There's nothing we can tell you online that's going to help you if you end up getting there looking completely different from everyone else, no matter how "nice" a look it is.

My honest answer is wear whatever you want. A black suit with some nice dress shoes will suit you just fine. If you want to really do it up - you can have your dress shirt match your dates dress (because that's the cool thing to do)

And if you have no date.... than you should be on lavalife or facebook or something right now - not style forum

Who on the prom committee dreamed up this theme?????? Where are the sponsors? I have seen some pretty goofy themes in the past 30 years, but my kids would revolt at a Dr. Seuss prom.....

Hahaha. Well the committee had several ideas and they all voted on Dr. Seuss in the end. They said they didn't want to do something cliche so they chose that one.
