Has anyone had a sweater *professionally* repaired with elbow patches? I have a sweater with a worn out elbow. I tried to apply elbow patches to another sweater before and did a terrible job. They were uneven and looked like crap. I'm trying to see if it's possible to have them professionally repaired with elbow patches. The hole is probably too big for darning.

Hi Steve,

Patching...
1. I found this easy to watch youtube video that helped me put on a leather patch quite successfully.
2. I found this source of cashmere patches.
3. I have had a professional tailor do a wool patch on a favourite wool sweater. The patch outlasted the rest of the sweater and moves very nicely with the sweater. Reach out to a tailor in your area and see what they can do for you!

good luck!

Thank. I called French American Reweaving Company in NYC (since they have good reviews here). They use similar patches as the ones you listed. Their price is $90 which seems reasonable for an expensive sweater. However that's basically what I paid for it new. So I'm going to try DIY again and see if I can do a better job this time.
