I’ve exchanged a few WhatsApp messages and his Insta pics look fairly nice. Base price for Indonesian made to order engineer boots is around $250. Nice sleek design and an attractive packer heel. The leather doesn’t look terribly thick or nice, though.

Anyone here have firsthand experience with him?

I don’t know the Prof but I’ve ordered from Junkard, Sage, Carnivores Soul. All Indonesian operations. They all hang out together. Had these MTO from Junkard about $250 to my door. Well worth the risk for those handmade engineer boots.

Thanks. I know Onderhoud from Indonesia gets a lot of praise - but at a much higher cost, since he is using imported leathers.

I exchanged a few more messages with ‘the prof’. That local black pull-up is 2.3mm thick (?).

I may just take a gamble.

2.3mm is perfect with very little break in time. Those boots are gonna be outstanding. At least you know who is getting your hard earned $. F’in Adidas cost $200 and they get tossed. Those boots will be with you or some one else a long time.

I have wide feet, so the Japanese brands are all out. I have a pair of Wesco’s already and Role Club are too long a wait, so this is looking like a winner for my second pair of engineers.
