Hi all,

First time posting so please be gentle.

Ive got a second hand pair of Crocket and Jones Aintree in black that were in a bit of state. I've cleaned them up nicely but have found a spot that I just can't shine.

I decided to give them a proper clean with Saphir Renomat and can see a patch that looks like it is missing some dye.

Is this something I can fix with some fresh dye on that little area?

They are a lovely shoe but I'd like to be able to get a mirror shine on the toe amd can't as it stands.

I have a second hand pair of shoes that are like that too. Like you, I tried a few different things and nothing worked. I would guess that the leather itself has been damaged in some way. It's probably not what you want to hear but you did your best, now try to forget about the spot and enjoy the shoes.
