The tailor described the royal wedding shirt as "classic but innovative and youthful at the same time."
Heaven forbid!

Damn - I was hoping it would be 'traditional with a twist.'

Surely just the trash that newspapers delight in creating.

Prince William is more than likely to wear (Royal Air Force) uniform for his marriage in accordance with Royal custom and such a creation would smply not accord with that.

Anyone know what this fabric they are talking about?

"cotton named after the Popes who used it for their elegant long gowns,"

Ah, misread it. I thought they were talking about a rare exotic long staple with vicuna or something.

Bloody nonsense "PR" drummed up by some continental tailor.

Even if HRH the Prince were wearing civilian attire, if it's a daytime wedding, would a bib-front shirt as described be in order? (I don't know that much about strictly formal attire.)

The (double!) use of "Italian job" in the headline & lead is one of the worst examples of wordplay that comes to mind.

I thought Prince William would be wearing his RAF uniform?

Have you ever read The Sun newspaper, the bible of the English working class heroes?

That's quality compared to the puns they normally use...
