It seems that Brown is not only for famers, but Paris-residing attorneys and editors-at-large.

Hm... I believe Talley, like the current Brown president, was a Freedom major.

One would think that gentlemen of such education and standing would be at least colonels if not generals.

I love his advice to up-and-comers: be humble, don't "be above picking up paperclips or making a Starbuck's run." Good advice that some of my students could use.

Is Charvet, a couturier? Andre Leon Talley writes of the infallible influence and guidance of the doyenne, Diana Vreeland in his autobiography, ALT. It's titular function is a tribute to Diana Vreeland's autobiography, DV. He certainly learned how to put out the excesses from Vreeland, who oddly enough was fired from Vogue precisely for her extravagance. US Vogue is not known for its avant-garde unlike its cousins Vogue Italia or Vogue France. In fact, Carine Roitfeld, editor of Vogue France, won't be photographed together with Anna Wintour.
