1. Hi. We moved systems, and because it was impossible to achieve feature parity between the systems, we opted to archive the old B&S threads but allow users to read them so that they can put them into our new B&S system.

    There is a support thread if you have any issues.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

    Size UK 8.5, new in box.
    Blue suede double monks by Santoni, from their Goodyear line.
    Shoes too big for me unfortunately so need to get these to a better home.

    Measurements:
    Outsole length:
    12" = 30.7cm
    Outsole width at ball joint (widest part):
    4" = 10.2cm

    Retail where I bought from was listed as $960. On Santoni's own website a very similar SKU (compare the one on the box in the picture vs on website, last digit is 3 vs 7) sells for $865, I bought them for $700, looking to sell at loss for $650 $600 $550 for SF members or reasonable best offer, shipped + tracked to CONUS. International shipping at buyer's cost.

    Will store the shoes treed until shipment.
    The shoes will come exactly like they came to me, in a nice box, with some of the nicest dust bags I've felt. The box has a superficial rip on one side, see photo. Certificate of authenticity / care booklet etc included as pictured, and shoes packed with the paper packing material that came in them.

    Can ship with travel shoe trees from Skolyx instead (the black shoe trees in the photo, plastic, lightweight) for an additional $20 FREE.

    The following info was more for Grailed, I assume SF members are generally more knowledgeable than myself but here's some info about construction and links to sources:

    Beautiful, beautiful suede. Really soft and supple, smooth to the touch. I like this better than the suede that Carmina uses (which is from Stead). The edges everywhere have a black piping, a small detail that adds a lot and shows attention to detail. Have a look at the construction detail photo which shows the piping on the throat and the toe cap.

    Impeccable construction. Santoni's Goodyear line is not very common, and is highly regarded.

    From the Shoe Snob Blog by J. FitzPatrick:
    "But I do love what they can do, which is what they do least of i.e. their Goodyear welted line. They seriously have the potential to be one of the greatest factories in Italy, doing shoes that stack up against any John Lobb, any G&G or any other British maker for that matter. But instead they don’t. They make the shoes that give the best ROI (their blake stitched stuff that they can churn out quickly)."

    Some sizing info, in order of best-to-least well fitting:
    Brannock US 10.5B/C
    Carmina - Simpson - UK8.5 -> this is the best fitting shoe-last of the ones I have
    Yanko - 915 (monk straps) - UK8.5
    Grenson - 204 last (Dylan) - UK7.0F (gasp)
    Common Projects - Achilles low - EU42
    Grenson - 201 last (Sharp) - UK8.5G
    Original Chippewa - 6.5" service boot - US9.5D

    All of these shoes fit me, yes, but the Carmina Simpson UK8.5 fit me like a glove.

    The Santoni seem to be made for a wider foot than mine. The length seems to be correct, maybe slightly large, for my feet but a standard width foot will fit the shoe much better.

    Sorry for the long write-up.
