Vintage Nikon FM2 SLR Camera + Lens

This is an *original* Nikon FM2, produced between 1982-84 by Nippon Kogaku K. K. (Nikon Corporation) in Japan. It is a gorgeous, classic film camera with an extremely durable copper-aluminum-silicon body. Read more about the history and technical specifications of the FM2 here and here.

I inherited this camera from a relative who used to work as a professional photographer/journalist. It in very good/excellent used condition; there is some light scratching on the bottom (see photo), but otherwise the body is immaculate. As far as I can tell, all mechanical functions are in working order. The shutter works at all speeds, the film winder works, and so does the self-timer. The battery should be replaced for the light meter to function properly.

The FM2 is compatible with all Nikon F-mount bayonet lenses produced after 1977. I am offering the camera body for sale here with a Nikon Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 lens, which photographer Ken Rockwell values at around $125 used as of February 2014. See his in-depth review of this particular lens on his website.

I am asking $400 $350 $325 for the camera body and lens together. If you are interested in only one or the other, please feel free to make an offer. The price includes shipping to the continental USA. I can also ship internationally at the buyer's expense.
