What do you do to prevent sweat marks on your dress shirts, polos, and t shirts without getting chunks of deodorant on the inside of your shirts?

I just went to walgreens and they don't have either over the counter and I need a prescription for drysol... I don't feel like going to the doctor just for that. I think I can order perspirex online, right?

FFS, wear an undershirt (not a wifebeater, though) and some antiperspirant. Problem solved.

According to a buddy of mine, a doc told him that the yellow is caused by a mix of your sweat and the deoderant you use because of a certain chemical reaction-- one that doesn't occur when you use a natural deoderant. Not sure if that's true for everyone but it might be worth a shot.

The culprit is the Aluminum salts used in deodorants. Before going to extremes, there are modern deo's without Aluminum. I haven't got any issues with current Old Spice.

I don't "use it" in the sense that you mean. However, my roommate does, and swears by it. I myself sweat more than average, particularly in the armpit region, and a few weeks ago I applied my roomie's Perspirex one afternoon just to see what I thought about it. I was quickly disappointed, but noted that its directions specify that you must apply it the night before -- sure enough, the next day I did not experience any armpit sweat whatsoever. So to the extent of having used it once with great results, I recommend it. That said, I have vague concerns about health effects (but these also apply to many standard antiperspirants/deodorants as they use the same chemicals, only combined with water versus the alcohol in Perspirex, which according to some article I read online is what allows it to work for so long). I went to my local drug store (Shoppers Drug Mart) to look for it and didn't find it on the shelves; either it's prescription or it's OTC but you have to buy it from the pharmacist (they were busy when I went so I didn't ask).

There's something called "Alum crystal" and I've never tried it but I keep hearing that it works a treat. It's a deodorant as opposed to an antiperspirant but if you rub it on your armpits apparently the sweat is reduced to a colorless and (more importantly) odorless liquid, essentially just water. If you have trouble with visible sweat stains it won't solve that problem, but I have heard from lots of people that it helped them avoid smelliness and it's completely "natural"/won't give you cancer.

Presumably you're kidding, but hair growth does not have any relationship to sweatiness that I know of. Certainly hairless areas of the body can sweat a great deal.

This. Putting AP onto a hairy armpit makes no sense...
