Preventing Stretching Cuffs

When wearing a sweater on top of a button down, how do you prevent the cuffs of the sweater from stretching out over your shirt cuffs? And I know it wouldn't be advisable to button your shirt, but beyond that?

Any magical tricks I'm missing?
