Prada is coming back to American Mr. Porter

Looks like Prada menswear is coming back to the Mr. Porter American site. If you look up Prada in the search bar you come to a page that says, "New season product coming soon." I know Prada is currently and has for a long time been sold on the British and Continental European Mr. Porter sites, I'm just talking about the American one.

Prada hasn't been stocked in Mr. Porter for quite some time now, I believe for a couple years. When Miuccia announced that Prada clothing was being removed from several retailers in America in order to gain more control over the brand, Mr. Porter was one that got sacked.

Looks like Miuccia and Raf realized her mistake and the loyalty (or stupidity) of the Mr. Porter client-base and their willingness to always pay more for stuff. Prada menswear isn't available in too many other third party retailers. Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstroms only carry mens shoes. Bergdorf Goodman is the only place I can think of for menswear, and their selection is very small (mainly just basics).

I know nobody is jumping up with joy at this news, just thought I'd share.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
