Take 1: Impeccably dressed, charcoal grey pinstripe suit, purple tie, long black overcoat, he is standing inside a shop.  His cell rings, he exits and starts along the sidewalk towards his car.  The beautiful suit, the elegant overcoat?  Destroyed by his gait, his posture, the sound of his shoes dragging on the tile floor.

Take 2: The man crossing the street moves with masculine careless grace.  Strong, decided, head high.  He is wearing jeans and an open shearling.

Given good jeans and a decent shearling, a better outfit too, imo.
