I am looking for a poster of Atlas Shrugged - the movie (not the new one to be released) or the original book cover print. I saw one on the ayn rand website but wasnt too impressed with it. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one.

Thanks
G

What Atlas Shrugged movie is there, other than the upcoming Jolie/Pitt one?

Watch ebay. Lots of Ayn Rand related paraphernalia passes through there.

The only other one I noticed was this, which is even uglier than the one ARI is peddling.

Why not get a real Socialist Realist poster instead of a sad copy from the cover of a sad woman's book?

This may not be the appropriate place, but I thought I'd stick up for Ms. Rand anyway.

It's a shame she was such a terrible writer as her ham-handedness obscures her ideas. They at least deserve a place in the political discussion (especially in an election year like this).

To each their own political ideologies, I personally like her books. Thanks B1FF and Robin. Others, thank you for your time.

I also found the Atlas Shrugged reference the end of the "Chickenf**ker" episode of South Park very apt.

But seriously, the artwork that accompanies her books is just a shallow rip off of the Soviet propaganda posters of the 1920s. I do not know if that was intentional or a subconscious choice.

Are you referring to the recent covers? Hardly Soviet. They have a strong art-deco influence and were done by artist Nick Gaetano.

My copies have art-deco covers. I believe they're meant to evoke 1930s New York: the domain of one Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The allusion is obvious.

Yeah, but nobody's that observant. It's mainly a Christmas and Easter thing

Is this where we include references we remember from that episode now?
