I don't have my tripod with me but this is the best I could come up with so far.

Yeah, I agree. I need to go and re-edit the photo cause I was trying to get the effect of the vampire in Twilight.

    Kinda like that image.

Btw, nice fireworks! Really not bad for a first time! Never shot fireworks, but I would really love to one day.

Thanks! That is exactly the feel I was going for. I am actually inspired by the guy below but haven't found the appropriate settings yet. Still working on it :nodding:!

^Love AoF Amazing amazing pictures. Really like your portraits and your portfolio!

Andd OH MY GOD Protest the hero?!?!?!?!? Wtf... dude you're my idol haha.

Edit: Holy shit. You have some insane photos. Not to mention I love how you have shot every band I know of in addition to the really big name ones I don't like.

Thanks so much man. I have known the Alexisonfire guys for quite a few years now. I actually photographed George's wedding as well as went on their final tour before they broke up officially. I also know the guys in Protest The Hero pretty well too. That rules that you are into those bands.

Actually Wade who is in the first picture there was in Alexisonfire and now hes the lead singer of Gallows which is pretty cool if you are into those bands.

No problem. That actually really cool. It is a shame they broke up though, I wasn't ever a die hard fan (never went to one of their concerts), but I did listen to them quite a bit. However I was in love with protest for about a year, I still listen to them a lot but just not as much since my music has expanded so much to other amazing bands as well. Gotta appreciate that mathcore though. I gotta admit though that photo of spencer from Underoath is epic. I stopped listening to their new stuff though because I only liked them with Aaron.. I'll check out Gallows though later on tonight. Just a question though, how did you come about photographing all these bands? Honestly its sick how you know all these awesome bands.

    ^Yup!

Thanks :) Will be trading the 50L for a 24L though as I want a wider lens cause the 50 on a 1.6x crop is just too cropped.

Nice setup dude. The 50L is a damn good lens but that focus shift is a huge bitch sometimes. The only reason I keep mine is because all my other options would break under the pressure with the way I shoot haha.

If you are looking for a good lens you should consider the Sigma 35mm f1.4. I havent actually used it but Ive heard many good things. Also the Canon 35mm f1.4 is damn nice. It is probably my favorite lens I own. I dont think I have ever had a complaint about it. There is a reason its taken Canon so long to replace it with a new version. The regular one is just so good they dont know what to improve.

I'm getting ahead of myself right now haha but I would get a 35 when I get a FF camera. I will be replacing my 50 eventually but with one for 1/3 of the cost I do love the length on the 50 on a crop though just that for $1500 I might as well get a lens that doesn't have a bunch of similar ones to it and one that is a good wide angle lens. My dream set-up is a 24L, 35L, 50 1.4, 85L, and 70-200L. It is wuite expensive but if I save up all my money I'll eventually get there :satisfied:

I was actually going to trade my 50L for a 35L but someone offered me a 24L II so I said why not and decided to go with it, which in reality is the closest length on a crop to a 35. Btw, what's your set-up? Honestly your pictures are amazing and I think I want to take my photography in a whole new direction now because of you haha

That's a good goal dude. My current setup is this:
    Canon 28mm f2.8
    Canon 35mm f1.4L
    Canon 50mm f1.2L
    Canon 85mm f1.8
    Canon 16-35 f2.8L
    Canon 24-70f2.8L
    Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS

I pretty much use the 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm most of the time. I have a wedding photography business with my girlfriend and thats pretty much the only time I use my 70-200. The 16-35 is what I use most for events and small hardcore shows.

I use the 50mm, and the 35mm most often for general use. The 28mm I got recently pretty much just to use with my old 5D for street photography but I have been using more these days whenever I find 35mm isnt quite wide enough. I actually used it today while shooting at a yoga studio that didnt quite have enough space for me to shoot at 35mm so its a nice addition for how little it cost.
