I really wish Vaclav would do this. Despite valiant efforts on the part of Mag and others the conventional mockery begins to repeat itself very quickly. What we need now is some dada prose poetry.

You once spent over $100 bucks at a Prodigy show (Couldn't resist the vinyl and the t-shirt and a bottle of fiji...). You have a pair of genuine UNKLE dunks which sucks because now you have an overpriced memento of two dead subcultures.

lol, I never liked big beat electronic though. But I do have a few Plastikman records so you are close. [IMG]

I'm revoking your MBV card for putting them on the same list as John Mayer and Coldplay. (My "loveless tattoo" makes me fully qualified to do that)

What actually happened - did your girlfriend make you sit through "Lost in Translation," and then order you the soundtrack through Amazon's One Click (tm) Speed Order function?

Enjoy your Snow Patrol albums, you ponce.

I've been a lot into shoegaze/noise recently (Serena Maneesh, Low Frequency in Stereo, No Age, Sonic Youth and so on), but MBV is right now the only one that has "grown on me", and they must be my all time favourite band along with Kaizers Orchestra.

I like relaxing music, so thats why John Mayer and Colplay is on the list.
(Snow Patrol sucks, by the way)

And btw, how does the Loveless tattoo look like?

Okay, so I dredged up a few bands whose older stuff still rocks. And this time, lay off the old jokes (pleez), unless you're in dada prose insult mode.

    Soul Asylum
    Bush
    ZZ Top
    Matthew Sweet

You paid 40 bucks on ebay for a poorly dubbed VHS tape of Palace Brothers music videos from MTv circa early eighties. You have a bunch of Magnolia Electric CO. albums that never get played because deep down inside even your hipster ass knows they're boring.

You like to deride freak-folk as affected but you know Devendra gets way more pussy then Mark Kozelek.

You really fucking hate that Steven Merritt "Wheels on the Bus" song from the Volvo (or whatever) commercial. I don't blame you.

When drugs come up in the conversation you always talk about your college roommate who was crazy wild and smoked lots of pot and tripped acid for like all of finals week and did cocaine every morning for a motherfucking week! You had a single in college. This roommate never existed. Protip: Soul Asylum: Gin Blossoms for pussies.
