You act like i don't eat properly or exercise. I'm a rock climber so my bf stays at ~10% and i dont eat sugar (unless its in fruit, and even then I barely eat that) and i reduce carbs as much as possible for a college kid...

I'm just saying that that's probably why I have such a high caloric maintenance requirement.

And no i'm by no means shredded, but I am far far far far from scrawny.

Last year's goal was a barefoot half-marathon. Did that and fractured a metatarsal.

Anyway, this year: 20 lb reconfiguration (e.g., losing 20 lbs of fat, or losing 10 lbs of fat and gaining 10 lbs of muscle, and so on).

30" vertical & 5m30s mile.

Roomie thinks he can knock out a 3h00m full and is shooting for a 2h50m marathon (his previous target was a 3:00 full). I'm dumbfounded because he's a hockey player and Ph.D student, not a skinny distance runner...but somehow he's fast.

Goal: 320 Squat, 400 Deadlift, 240 Incline Bench, 170 Press @ 175 lbs.

Current: 290 Squat, 330 Deadlift, 210 Incline Bench, 150 Press @ 175 lbs.

Following a leangains recomp protocol. Hope it works!

I'm in the same boat man, but I'm only going for a meager 2.5bw dead.

Current dead is 345lb, bw 163lbs. Guess I have my work cut out for me.

IN HS I pulled over a 3x at 200kg +/- weighing about the same as I do now, 60-62kg. At 40+ years of age I train hard and seem to plateau at 2.5x BW 150kg +/-.

I am more determined and persistent than I am smart so I am going to keep trying.

Don't forget to train other stuff too, it really helps to not limit your dead just because your grip or traps are lagging. I'm sure you can reach your goal in 4 months if you stick to it

BUD/S candidates have to run 4 miles in 32 minutes in combat boots on a sandy beach to start off. After hell week, they need to do it in under 28 minutes, I think, and if memory serves me right, the targets drop further at a later stage of BUD/S. So, 7 minute miles may be a reasonable target to aim for, perhaps 6 minute miles after that?

I'd like to squat 2x's BW but I won't get there this year, it'd be 380 with my current 1RM just over 300.

I'm planning to just continue with a slow recomp... pecs are my worst area so I'll keep looking for gains there. I'm 6'2". Would ultimately be happy sitting at 190 around 8%.

Nothing too crazy (have much bigger **** to deal with this year):

weight: Get back under 140 (at 5ft8), currently somewhere between 145-50.

Running: get back to being able to run sub-18min 5k's. If job and other **** stabilizes, run Chicago marathon (under 3hrs)

Yeah what I would define as "sprinting" is a pace that you aren't keeping for one mile let alone four. You don't "sprint" a distance run. You sprint intervals like 100m 200m 400m

Going to focus more on core strengthening and overall strength
DL 600 by the beginning of summer, currently 500
Incline bench 300, currently 255
Overhead straight arm cleans 155, currently 125

Trying to maintain at 190, but drop %BF
