1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

This is my most recent tattoo. It's my sixth one and my biggest so far. I've wanted to get a sort of old-school flash tattoo for a while, and this one has a lot of family and personal meaning in it. The swallows are a traditional sailor tattoo, and my grandpa on my mom's side was in the Navy in WW2. Swallows are also known for traveling long distances but always returning to their home, and tradition says if you die swallows will carry your soul to heaven. The banner reads "a stone, a leaf, a door" and is a quote from Look Homeward, Angel by Thomas Wolfe. I'm related to him on my dad's side, and that quote is from a passage all about the past and what has been lost.

I've been a fan of Hooper's art for some time now. I spoke to him a while back and though I'm not ready to work on a piece his style's been pretty influential on my own ideas. Good stuff.

My thomas Hooper Piece in progress

    wish i had pics handy

Here is a design I was thinking about getting, I like the idea of getting a tattoo, but it has to mean something to me, the only thing that really does at the moment is me being Canadian. I don't want to get some lame leaf or flag or whatever. I thought about getting the coat of arm's or part of it, but it is too detailed for the size and area i want. [IMG] I'm not native, but when i was younger my parent's worked on a native reserve, so I did live on one. I am torn.

Why don't you turn it into a sticker/decal and wear it for a while just to see if you'll like it?

    Hi
i need advice from the japanese folks on here.
my wife is half japanese, but born and raised in denmark. she's thinking about getting the nippon sun without the rays tattooed on her underarm, but is worried about how that would be looked upon when we are visiting japan. she's aware that nationalism is a sore point in japan.

    thanks a lot.
