Yes. Ande Whall jeans have a really long inseam as is. If you want little to no break, you gotta hem. I like the look of those jeans with that hem job. You should send Ande a pic, blackcherry. I'm sure he'd appreciate the way you personalized the jeans with the patch and hem job (sounds dirty).

Yeah I think the stock inseam is either 36 or 38. He offered to hem them when I bought them but I figured I'd stick with their natural length for a while. Almost a year later, decided I don't like the look of them stacked, so snip snip.

I kind of want to wear the shit out of them for another year before showing pics to Ande and being like "hay thanks for the sweet jeans!!1" These are holding up insanely well considering the abuse I put through them, and they were on sale when I bought them so I'm definitely getting my money's worth..

Knee hole was inevitable considering I'd done a lot of kneeling on wet, salty concrete last winter. And I'm a big DIY/personalization dork, so I enjoy patching and sewing. Goofy, but it's me.

i think when we hear hand made jeans, we all kind of cringe thinking a machine could do a better job, but my ande whalls are better constructed or just as good as anything i've gotten before.

One size down Nudie AJs in heavy dry about 3 weeks old. I'll wash them in a year or so.

Well, Ande does use a sewing machine, but I will agree.. my V3 grifters with the reinforced york (which sadly don't fit very well anymore) are far better constructed than most Japanese repros I've come across - and rival the likes of Somet and KMW. Really solid product, although the V3s dye job was eh. (not Ande's fault)

The fit on the 1966 606 Super Slim's are godly. My favorite pair of jeans so far.

How do you make the SJs (actually all of them) fit in the calves like that? It doesn't look as tapered, more straight all the way down the leg? Is it just large calf muscles?

God, APCs fit like shit on 90% of the people I see them on. Why are they recommended so much?
