Well, maybe post Classic Menswear. Post-COVID, I was generally overdressed in any meeting and I was fine with it. No one really seemed to care. Now, I have had a few comments made and I realize I need switch things up. I am in sales and primarily working with people in manufacturing companies. Food, beverage, health and beauty, chemicals, and the list goes on. I used to deal with people in khakis, company shirts, button ups. Now, almost everyone is jeans and polos, some t-shirts, even sweats a few times now. The CEOs to purchasing mangaers I deal with all dress the same.

We like to say clothing is a language so walking into these meetings in a suit or a pair of nice trousers and a sport coat is speaking something foreign. For the past few months, I've been in chinos and OCBDs. Fine, I guess, but I like jackets. I put on one with my chinos the other day and it just didn't feel right. I think it is time to move to jackets with a lot more texture and colors that wouldn't usually be "business dress." Maybe my move is going to be jeans, casual sport coats, and loafers or chukka boots.

So, I am looking for inspiration. I am thinking along the lines of Jason Jules but without knit ties. Who else ya got?

(The jacket is too classic menswear for that combination imo. I've bought a nice RAF No. 1 dress jacket without patches for that reason. I wear it without the belt, preferably with olive trousers. Looks decent but not something you'd see every day in business casual.)

Might be a few steps away from where I am headed. Of course, if I had his cash, I'd not worry about sales and wear what I want, when I want.
