1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Seriously. O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D and way, way overexposed. I feel like I can't escape her unless I'm in my own house or car. I'm sitting in a hipster friggin' coffee shop right now, and their music mix just played one of her sappy, whiney-assed songs. Can't wait until her career dries up.

I liked a few of her songs until I heard them every 15 minutes on the radio. Now even my daughter (who was a big fan) tells me to change the station if an Adele song comes on in the car.

She's certainly getting over played, but I do like a few of her songs and don't have a problem with her personality.

Radio overexpose can sour you on things you even initially like. I can't even bear to listen to "Somebody That You Used To Know" anymore.

Adele is certainly a wonderful singer, but she relies on voice-breaking as an expressive technique with the lack of moderation typical of the very young. It will be interesting to see how her career progresses. I can barely tolerate "Rumor Has It", though, and I feel like the producer missed a grand opportunity to milk that bridge section for maximum dramatic effect.

How many Grammys are there between Teacher and Tagut? I'm going to have to say zero.

I fail to see how my not being a musician somehow precludes me from being effing sick of that whining, ubiquitous bitch.

Impossible. She is everywhere. She's like the growing masses in Invasion of the Body Snatchers (you choose which version). In fact, your assertion is such a transparent and ridiculous attempt to disassociate yourself from her that I accuse you of being one of her minions, perhaps even one of her agents. J'accuse!

I'm not going to dignify that with a response.

Do you really have to rub salt in the wound, Neo? I'm still bitter about having been passed over for that Grammy.

Real talk, the landscape of female musicianship nowadays is leaps and bounds ahead of what it was 10-20 years ago. You have Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift....I could go on. There is literally something for everybody. All you haters come off like a bunch of bitter old men who couldn't recognize genuine talent if it knocked you over the head with a Billboard Music Award.

An artist like Robyn SHOULD be on that list. The fact that she isn't makes it a modern day tragedy.

I know you're just being all impish and Neo-y and shit, but I certainly never said I dislike Adele. In fact- to some degree or other- I like all of the singers you mentioned. It's just that these songs don't need to be hammered into my skull fifteen times a day.

Also, why exactly Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" sounded so familiar bugged me until I realized she basically ripped off Lenny Kravitz' "Fly Away".

I actually like Robyn. Like I said, I could have listed Kimbra. I could have added Lana Del Rey. Feist. Florence Welch. The amount of female talent out right now boggles the mind.

I would NOT include Lana Del Rey in that list, but that's just me.

You and every other blogger out there lol. Personally, I like her and I think she's a cool chick but I understand why people criticize her the way they do. All that to say, if you dislike one talented female artist (in this case, Adele), there are literally a dozen more out there who you might grow to enjoy and appreciate. It's a great time for female musicians in general.
