Brace yourself. These are truly horrible. I use them as house shoes now.

First of all, honor suggests that if you start a thread like this, you should post something from your own sartorial armory.

Second, probably the most hideous thing that I own, made more so because it would strike most here as both hideous and hideously expensive, is a King Baby Studio Crowned Skull belt buckle in sterling silver:

Weighs a ton. I use it to belt these...

...which I wear mountain biking when it's slightly colder or where the singletrack might be overgrown with veggies.

Why do I keep it? It's so ugly that there is some mojo to it. I think.

I'm a tosser. Err, I mean I throw things away.

This is probably the ugliest, or at least Will tells me so. I like it myself.

I have too many items to spend the time to photograph. Lets just say my shame prevents me from ebay'ing them.

Wonder where the idea for this thread came from.

Mine are here, I guess.

I'm tempted to say I wear them because they are what Jesus wore. The truth is that they are as comfortable as hell. I just got them as beater shoes to wear around the house when I'm not going anywhere. I figured I'd just bin them when they wore out. Frustratingly, they have refused to deteriorate after 5 years of wear. Sturdy, comfortable and cost $20. So yeah, I wear them and like them.

In my defense, you can't wear your best shoes when house-hunting. Vendors ask you to take shoes off and on, so you have to wear loafers. Plus you are traipsing around gardens and other messy parts of properties, so you are not going to wear your Santonis or whatever.

That is hideous. The rodeo comes to Houston next month. I bet you could sell that buckle to some cowboy type guy that would think it's cool and it looks big enough to hold his gut up

I haven't been photographing anything recently. But when I get a chance I'll photograph some really hideous crap.

BTW: Here's a similar buckle:

Which is being worn by this guy who you might know ( or perhaps the guy next to him ).

It also makes for a nice summer jacket. It might have a little brother or two this year...

Udeshi and Etro often have delightfully tacky paisley jackets that I should get around to buying. I'm still kicking myself for passing on some on deep discount a couple years back.

Love it. Love it. But not gonna get it. Too similar to a jacket Hickey put out last year.

This thread is not turning out well.

We need more Jesus Shoe.

When you wear the Jesus Shoe, you walk with God.

Sinner!

They are comfortable as heaven, and somewhat holey.
