You can get one quite inexpensively.

Yes, but the repairs are quite expensive.

The new 928 should be released in about 18 months as a 2012 model. It's Porsche's 3rd front-engine model and will share the same platform as the Panamera. So far looks like a stunner.

This looks great to me. Hopefully it'll look as good or better IRL.

The future 928 renderings all look pretty cool, but then again, 5 years ago, when we knew the Panamera was coming but had no idea what it would look like, the renderings for it were pretty cool looking as well... [IMG]

I wish they would install some nifty headlights a-la original 928, but it isn't going to happen.

I suspect that Porsche will have received sufficient feedback from both the automotive press and current owners who refuse to go with the Panamera that they don't radically screw up the 928's aesthetics. There will be pressure from VW to rev up volumes on the Panamera platform... I don't see it happening with the Panamera itself.

Remember the Panamera looked like a$$ in the photo's as well, so it wasn't quite surprising that it was fairly hideous IRL. However, the concept 928 you posted is just plain Insane.

The "it looks better in real life" thing didn't work for the Acura ZDX or the Honda Crosstour. But then again I'm one of those guys who thinks Porsche should make two models and let Audi make the SUV's and sedans.

Works for me, although 3 models: 911, 928, and Boxster / Cayman works for me. Plus, the occasional supercar (Carrera GT, 959, etc...)

I recently read that VW plans to double Porsche's annual unit volumes. Unfortunately, this will mean more - not less - models in the pipeline. This would also imply models with more mass-market affordability such as the new rumored coupe/convertible (platform shared with Audi) which will be positioned below the Boxster/Cayman, probably running on four cylinders.

The Panamera looks much better in person. The Burmester audio system is pretty kick ass too.

Only the Cayenne is uglier than this. They're obviously trying to imitate the Maserati Quattroporte concept, and they've failed miserably.

I wish I could agree, but I've spent a lot of time looking at this car on multiple occasions at the dealership, and I've seen a couple on the highway. It hasn't grown on me one bit. Nice concept but poor execution IMO. Maybe, like the Cayenne, it'll grow on me later.

It looks like a Panamera coupe, not that's a bad thing as I quite like the Panamera, don't understand all the h8 but I admit the front looks much better than the back.
