Supposedly when you buy a Pagani you get a pair of bespoke driving shoes made by the Pope's personal cobbler... anyone know what shop that is?

The Pope had custom shoes made for him in white by Dr Martens. I don't know who he has for driving shoes though.

Moreschi. Also, they produce the red one piece slip-ons for the Cardinals and the Pope as well. As well as hiking boots in the Norwegian construction - with red laces and trim.

    BTW, what's a Pagani?

It's a really expensive Italian car, kinda like a Lamborghini.

Well, that's a rather quick and vague description of the wonderful car made by my fellow expatriate. [IMG] http://www.paganiautomobili.it/ Jon.

Yeah, I was on the way out the door and gave a quick and dirty response.

The Zonda is great. Very few in Europe. Even fewer in the U.S.

I had one in Gran Turismo. Nice, but not really for me.

haha [IMG] Some buyers have made... interesting choices. I have seen yellow with tan ostrich leather interior. And you thought ostrich shoes were pushing the envelope... But, they are mostly stunning. I have seen one unpainted in bare carbon fibre.

The pope also uses Artioli as his cobbler.

Many manufacturers 'present' the Pope with shoes, usually on St. Crispin's Day; including Allen Edmonds from here. Unfortunately, they then commercialize it. The official 'Court' shoes, however, are Moreschi production.

Been watching Top Gear? The wonderful thing about a Pagani, is that it is a truly bespoke car. Â They are built for the client, who can not only specify the interior, but the performance features as well. Â My personal tastes would run more toward this "Monza" version rather than the previously mentioned ostrich leather trimmed example: [IMG] Full roll cage, 5 point seat belts, fuel cell, more horsepower, vented wheel wells to cool the brakes, Sparco seats, fire suppression. Â What more could you want? I just hope the Pope's cobbler knows how to put a Nomex liner in those fancy shoes.

oh, Kai, the ostrich was gross. I have also seen it on Mike Tyson's 512M convertible conversion (which he also put twin turbos in) (it's now for sale and will probably be bought by a buddy of mine who, thanfully, will rip out this interior): [IMG] [IMG]
