I know two tone watches aren't for everyone. I always thought they looked gaudy, but I've since come to the opinion that some are done well and some aren't.

Received my two tone Tudor 1926 (steel and rose gold) this week after 8 months waiting. A massive expense in my life, but a sentimental one for reasons I won't go into. Thoroughly pleased with it - just wish I had the ability to take nice photos.

There are a lot of minor brands around, which one could not be aware of.
I never heard of Fleux before, for example.

With $500 you can get a nice diver with vintage look, in two versions.

The FLX001.

I like the look of these with a sort of Helios / Baltic style.
As usual there are details I just can’t get down with. Don’t like the countdown bezel. Don’t understand why the dots are fatter on the upper half than the lower half. On the other one, I never liked that halfy-halfy dial style of mixing numbers and indeces.

I didn't even notice the differing dot sizes initially. Now I can't unsee it. And I've always disliked California dials, too.

Not the biggest fan of the California dial myself, but having slowly accustomed to it. It actually mixes arabic and roman numerals with indeces and was called initially "high visibility" or "error proof" dial, and, as I learnt, it's an oddity with a reason to be.

The different size of the dots should respond to the same need.

Count me as another who didn't notice the different size dots in the original post but now I cannot un-see it.

As for California dials - I used to hate them and then I got a good deal on a Nomos Club Campus with one and grew to really like it. I would definitely get one again. FWIW, wearing the watch I would barely even register the differing number styles when glancing at it to get the time.
